Scheduling your first appointment
Call our office and tell us what you would like help with. Let us know if you are experiencing tooth pain, have a broken tooth or have been advised to seek treatment. Our team can explain the next available appointment and what information to bring.
Walk-ins and same-day scheduling are welcome during office hours. Calling ahead helps us check availability and prepare for your visit. Same-day treatment depends on the examination, your needs and available openings.
What to bring
- Your contact information and a photo ID.
- Your dental insurance information, if applicable.
- A current medication list and information about allergies or relevant medical history.
- Any recent dental records or X-rays you can provide; ask our team whether a records transfer would help.
- A list of concerns and questions you want to discuss with your dentist.
What happens at your visit?
Your visit starts with a conversation about your concerns and dental history. The dentist will evaluate your needs and explain recommended next steps. The appointment may include an examination and imaging where appropriate. Ask about the proposed treatment, alternatives, timing and estimated fees before proceeding.
A routine new-patient visit and an urgent visit may have different goals. If you need a cleaning as well as an examination, mention that when scheduling so our team can explain appointment options.

Insurance and payment questions
DDS Northwest no longer accepts Medicaid. Please call to discuss your dental insurance and available payment arrangements before your visit. Plan benefits, coverage and your estimated out-of-pocket costs depend on your insurance and treatment plan. Our team can help you identify the questions to resolve before care begins.
